As I told earlier music is the art of expression internal feelings of a person. Music can be defined as the art which is produced with correct organization of sound in time. There are some elements of sound like pitch, rhythm, dynamics, timbre and texture. Pitch can be defined as the measure of sound in different frequency. Rhythm is the flow of sound in proper time interval. If the rhythm of sound is good then we can have good music. The other elements like dynamics, timbre and texture are also essential for producing good music. Music varies according to the culture. To see about the history of music, it is found that people got the musical ideas from animals. Birds are well known for musical voice. There are proofs that India has one of the oldest musical traditions in the world. Vedas, the ancient sculptures of Hindu traditions, is the resource for what I have told earlier. China and Greece also have the oldest musical traditions. It is said that the music of china is 3000 years old. For them music is part of their life. It served its part in social and cultural life of the people of India, China and Greece.

It is also called as Non-Western music. It is said that it has origin in India. Indus valley civilization is the oldest civilization in the world. These classical music is prevailing form this civilization. Seven holed flute is the oldest musical instrument. The sculptures of Indus valley civilization is depicted with dance and this flute. This classical music then is split in to Hindustani music and carnatic music. Hindustani music is same as classical music. Carnatic music is fully devoted to God. There are also songs representing love and social issues. This classical music also has its mark in Greece, China and Persia. Chinese music is 3000 years old. They have different musical traditions and instruments. Greeks have developed theatres in 9^th century and music is performed in the theatres. In Greece Music is one of the important educations for the children. The students are taught music at the age of six. The change of empires in Rome changed the trend of their music. Each empire omitted some valuable parts of the traditional music and as a result we don’t know how exactly their music would be. They are rehearsing and improvising. Rehearsing is what practicing regularly a concept and performing them in the stage. Improvising is introducing new concepts for every single performance. The Indian classical music always has solo performance. Other cultures will be having group performance. There are two essential things in performing music. One is Ornamentation and aural tradition. Ornamentation is changing periodically with the change of trends. During the 17^thcentury, people liked performers who are doing simple melody. Later they liked stylish presentation of music.
